“Love” sees Lana treading her familiar themes of nostalgia for an idealized American past.
She muses on how this generation’s youth maintain a sense of wonder and empowerment in the face of adversity, due in part to the romanticized idea of love driving them forward. This alternative/indie rock tra...
[Verse 1]
Look at you, kids, with your vintage music
Comin' through satellites while cruisin'
You're part of the past, but now you're the future
Signals crossing can get confusin'
[Pre-Chorus]
It's enough just to make you feel crazy, crazy, crazy
Sometimes, it's enough just to make you feel crazy
[Chorus]
You get ready, you get all dressed up
To go nowhere in particular
Back to work or the coffee shop
Doesn't matter 'cause it's enough
To be young and in lo-ove
To be young and in lo-ove
[Verse 2]
Look at you, kids, you know you're the coolest
The world is yours and you can't refuse it
Seen so much, you could get the blues
But that don't mean that you should abuse it
[Pre-Chorus]
Though it's enough just to make you go crazy, crazy, crazy
I know, it's enough just to make you go crazy, crazy, crazy
[Chorus]
But you get ready, you get all dressed up
To go nowhere in particular
Back to work or the coffee shop
It don't matter because it's enough
To be young and in lo-ove
To be young and in lo-ove
[Bridge]
Mmm (Ah-ah)
Mmm (Ah-ah-ah-ah)
Mmm
Don't worry, baby
Mmm (Ah-ah)
Mmm (Ah-ah-ah-ah)
Mmm
Don't worry, baby
[Pre-Chorus]
And it's enough just to make me go crazy, crazy, crazy
It's enough just to make me go crazy, crazy, crazy
[Chorus]
I get ready, I get all dressed up
To go nowhere in particular
It doesn't matter if I'm not enough
For the future or the things to come
'Cause I'm young and in lo-ove
I'm young and in lo—, lo-lo-lo, love
[Outro]
Mmm (Ah-ah)
Mmm (Ah-ah-ah-ah)
Mmm
Don't worry, baby
Mmm (Ah-ah)
Mmm (Ah-ah-ah-ah)
Mmm
Don't worry, baby
Mmm (Ah-ah)
Mmm (Ah-ah-ah-ah)
Mmm
Don't worry, baby

Lana Del Rey released Love on Sat Feb 18 2017.
Following a series of small snippet leaks in early February, the track was leaked in full on the 18th of the same month and was subsequently rush-released onto digital platforms the same day.
Prior to the leak and final title confirmation, several posters promoting an unknown project titled “Love”...
Not really. Although Lana has shown interest in space related things such as Elon Musk conferences, Tesla and SpaceX projects, she hasn’t talked about including them as theme for a song or the album.
“Love” was written by Lana Del Rey, with the help of the song’s producers—long-time friends and collaborators Emile Haynie (who previously co-wrote “Blue Jeans” and “American”) and Rick Nowels (who notably co-wrote and produced the entirety of Honeymoon)—and Benjamin Levin, known as Benny Blanco, wh...
The track carries the characteristic nostalgia of the majority of Lana tracks, but one of its most ostensible similarities to the rest of her work is a mirror lyric with a line in 2016 leak “Fine China”:
They said that love was enough but it wasn’t
Lana wrote about the song on her Instagram:
I wrote up there, it really does come down to love and the intentions behind the music. That’s why this is the perfect first single, because this one is for you and I luv you.
