“I’ll Be Okay” served as the inspiration behind the album’s title, and marks the first time the band have released an explicit solo track.
Their only prior explicit release was the 2019 collaboration, “I Don’t Belong In This Club,” in which only Macklemore curses.
[Verse 1: Daniel Seavey]
Oh, she talks so sweet, like sugar, like candy
Makes me wanna be the best man that I can be
I like that she keeps things, oh, so simple
Less stress, more (Uh), and she got the dimples
I get scared when I think about the future
I'm a jump man, she's a promise abuser
Hell, I know that we're bad for each other
I made my own bed, but she tucked me under
[Pre-Chorus: Zach Herron]
Ooh-ooh
We did it for the hell of it
We did it for the good times and the bad ones
We didn't think about what shit might happen
But once you light a fire, it's gonna burn
[Chorus: Daniel Seavey]
I'll be okay to keep it simple
To stay outta your way and won't let you know
I need your love tonight
I need your love
I'll be okay as long as you are
It's been the longest day and I
I need your love tonight
I need your love
[Verse 2: Jack Avery]
(Ah-ah-ah-ah)
Innocent of sin
Baby, in the moment, we all think we know
But when it's too late, all the answers show, oh-oh
(Ah-ah-ah-ah)
No forgiving then
All it takes is time and some selfish pride
To flip a love story on its side
[Pre-Chorus: Zach Herron & Daniel Seavey]
Ooh-ooh
We did it for the hell of it (We did it for the hell of it)
We did it for the good times and the bad ones
We didn't think about what shit might happen
But once you light a fire, it's gonna burn
[Chorus: Daniel Seavey & Corbyn Besson]
I'll be okay to keep it simple
To stay outta your way and won't let you know (Oh)
I need your love tonight
I need your love
I'll be okay as long as you are
It's been the longest day and I (And I)
I need your love tonight (Need your love tonight)
I need your love
[Bridge: Jonah Marais & Jack Avery]
Stranded on an island
Can't escape, I'm tryin'
I need you to come help
I need you to come help (I need you)
Baby, you're an angel
You did nothing wrong
But you've been giving me hell (You've been giving me hell)
You've been giving me hell
[Chorus: Corbyn Besson, Daniel Seavey & All]
I'll be okay to keep it simple
I'll stay outta your way and won't let you know
I need your love tonight
Oh, tonight
I'll be okay as long as you are
It's been the longest day and I (And I)
I need your love tonight (Need your love tonight)
I need your love (Ooh-ooh-ooh)
I'll be okay to keep it simple (To keep it simple)
To stay outta your way and won't let you know (Oh-oh-oh)
I need your love tonight (Need your love tonight)
I need your love (Ooh-ooh)
[Outro: Daniel Seavey & All]
Ooh-ooh (I need, I need your)
Ooh (Love tonight)
Need your love tonight
Oh, shit, yeah, that sounds sick
