About Daniel Seavey

Daniel James Seavey (born 2 April 1999) was a fan favourite who made it into the Top 9 of the 14th season of the American Idol, and is now a member of pop boy-band Why Don’t We with Jack Avery, Corbyn Besson, Jonah Marais and Zach Herron. He plays several instruments, as of his audition on American Idol, he plays piano, guitar, drums, violin, viola, cello, bass, saxophone, and recorder. In the band, he is known as being the main instrumentalist.

Alongside his fellow band members, Seavey has created hits “Something Different”, “These Girls” and “Trust Fund Baby” alongside five EPs. The band also does mashups of songs that the “limelight” fandom suggests – to show off their vocals, harmonies and even affections towards certain songs. Their debut album 8 Letters was released on August 31st, 2018.
