I don't know the mind of God, but I know I'm not supposed to
I was born knowing how to breathe, but no manual for what else I'm supposed to do
So I try to only do what I won't regret on my deathbed

I only brought up God to illustrate the following points
That, yes, religion is subjective - but really, so is joy
Meanwhile, pain is universal, no one's exempt
Even masochists get safe words they can use when they're punished
And you know who else that also goes for? The sadists

I've punished myself plenty already, according to my therapist
