* escudar = to shield, but this doesn't work grammatically, so I think he must be saying something else
** to be more true to the English version, this should probably be "Quizás no verá otra mañana"("perhaps he won't see another morning")

+ (although it definitely sounds like "sabroso" and that rhymes, this doesn't make much sense: "everything he does is delicious". I always wondered if it could be "sub rosa" which is Latin for "under the rose" and borrowed in the English language to mean "clandestine" or "secret"
