Hallelujah - Live

It started with a "Hallelujah"
"Hallelujah and Amen"
Born into my parent's glory
Blessed midwestern son and then
I grew up through my life
Singing "Hallelujahs" from my soul
Church and school with hard work bringing
Straight 'As' home that was the goal
Hallelujah honor roll

I kept busy in my free time
With odd jobs that I would do
I was mowing lawns and I was baby sitting
I was a good swimmer too
All the while I "Hallelujah"
Sing my songs throughout the day
I love my friends and dogs and neighboors
But not girls, not in that way
Hallelujah I was gay
Horay!

Then one day when I was singing
Something whispered in my ear
"There is more that's out there for you
But you'll never find it here"
