Gotta Run

VERSE 1: The kingdom of God compels me I love the way the Body looks / complete and healthy I saw it in that godly book / I got the vision and ran with it without realizing demands with it / sacrifice and after staying in only one Man did it / perfectly sinless I'm a get as close as I can / so as I run I can only rock one brand / of the Man with the plan to redeem man to Himself / who created man to run to get Him as a prize / so what you running for and what you running from? / what prize are you chasing will you see the sum / or will you feel dumb because the prize was empty / it didn't live up to the hype just plain and simply / the opportunity cost it's worth a lot choose Christ / run for the Lord for the rest of your life / cause He is our prize He is our reward / He's the only prize we should chase more and more so //

VERSE 2: Day 1 I run I'm feeling mad tired / day 2 I'm blue and so uninspired / day 3 I plead with my body through the door / day 4 too sore don't wanna run no more / day 5 I'm alive happy cause of progress / day 6 I'm convinced cause my body's paying homage that in day 7 I'll weigh a little less / and I'll keep it up in day 8 even through the test / cause day 9 my spine says don't run / and day 10 again says don't run / day 11 I hear from heaven saying go / and if your flesh asks you to stop in day 12 say no / so in day 13 I ignore my flesh and in day 14 I ignore my flesh / and in day 15 no matter what it suggests and day 16 and beyond I'm a give it my best //

VERSE 3: I gotta run-run gotta keep my pace / I gotta run in a way that I win this race / not necessarily fast cause that won't ensure I'm the winner / but must develop endurance so I can run through the winter / some I used to run with gave up running / dudes I never thought would stop yeah quite stunning / some stop cause of divorce others negative force / provided by the church which should of helped them stay on course / but of course at the end it's a choice we make / we can't quit running cause others in the church are fake / we run for God that we may be formed in His image / and that God will be pleased with our ability at the line of scrimmage / preparing for each time opposition's in my face / so I can run even when they hit hard like 808's / it's only the word of God I must embrace fighting the good fight and keeping the faith //
