God Forsaken

Every God forsaken morning I snooze my alarm
And resist the urge to call myself lazy for it
And every waking moment I feel hunger
And I summon every ounce of will i have to ignore it

My back against the floodgates
Trudging through the mud of my mind
Sipping on day old coffee
Wondering what else I left behind

If only other people heard what I say to myself
So I'm saying it out loud and hoping that it helps

Every god damn afternoon
I suffer through the urge to glue
My eyelashes together out of boredom
And every breath I breathe I wheeze
And wonder if I'm dying
Or if I'm just being dramatic and ignore them

The existential crises
Trudging through the mud of my mind

I rail against the anxious fright
And I wonder if I′m just a simulation
Every choice and every hug

Could be a figment of my own imagination
