I wrote ‘Forget to Forget’ together with Elias Näslin, Hayley Aitken and Litens in Spring 2018. We’ve written most of my songs together, and that time we spent a week together in the studio where we ended up writing both this, and ‘Lose You Too’. What was the process of making the song like?
When we wrote the song both the verse and pre-chorus came to us very quickly. We had a bit of a struggle with the chorus as we didn’t know what direction to take it in. We only knew that we wanted to keep the line ‘Forget to forget about us’. After trying out a lot of different melodies I remember w...
What inspired it?
The lyrics of the song revolve around my own experiences of making the same mistake over and over again in a relationship. Even though we both knew it was a bad idea, the moments we shared were so perfect that we both lost sight of the fact that we shouldn’t be together.
