[Verse 1]
I saw something
The strangest light above the moor
So I pulled in
And headed down the service road
When the fog grew
Far too thick for me to see
I cut the engine
And I wandered through the scene
[Verse 2]
I lost the way back
And I was swallowed in the night
I felt drawn in
Like a moth to candlelight
An awful feeling
Started creeping over me
And what I saw was
Like no horror I had seen
[Chorus]
Following eyes, a sound in the night
It's something risen from below
A horrible sight, a chill in my spine
Something living in the glow
Following eyes, a sound in the night
It's something risen from below
A horrible sight, a chill in my spine
I thought I must have seen
[Verse 3]
Beneath the half-moon
The Witching Hour had me bound
An apparition
Called to me without a sound
I felt its stare like
A million spiders on my skin
A kind of haunting
That’s gripped me ever since
[Chorus]
Following eyes, a sound in the night
It's something risen from below
A horrible sight, a chill in my spine
Something living in the glow
Following eyes, a sound in the night
It's something risen from below
A horrible sight, a chill in my spine
I thought I must have seen
I thought I must have seen a ghost

I was playing around with this really heavy tuning and made this riff. I [wanted] to write a creepy ghost story with...
