Daniel Lopatin, aka. Oneohtrix Point Never (pronounced One-oh-trix), is an experimental electronic producer and composer based in Brooklyn, NY. A lead pioneer in the creation of the vaporwave subgenre, Lopatin has made long-lasting impacts on the contemporary electronic scene, and the internet culture surrounding it.
Morphing anywhere between ambient, plunderphonics, glitch, and industrial, OPN’s innovative sound has landed him collaborations with artists like Tim Hecker, The Weeknd, FKA twigs, and film duo Benny and Josh Safdie. He’s performed in venues ranging from clubs to the MOMA and the ICA.
Lopatin started the label Software where some of his friends like Autre Ne Veut release music.
He’s also one half of the duo Ford & Lopatin, alongside Joel Ford.
In 2010, he went under the alias Chuck Person to produce the album Chuck Person’s Eccojams Vol. 1.
