Fall

This time of the year brings out the worst in me
When the wind picks up and sweeps me off my feet
I lay in the cold leaves
Clouds are all I see
And the snow starts falling with my self esteem

And all I can think is that it's just not fair
That somebody else gets to brush your hair
And kiss your neck right on the spot that I found
But when I'm talking I don't make no sound

When the sun came back and I could breathe
I saw you walking across the street
You quickly turned around your back to me
And I had a thought that I forced to leave

But it followed me home so quiet I didn't see
Then hid in the shadows till I fell asleep
And crept to my bеd where I slept so lonеly
And whispered that maybe you're dreaming of me
