Faith is such a hard bone to achieve
And that easy to lose
I'm no longer sure what to believe
Or what to decide or choose
The more lucky and blessed I feel on Earth
The more respect for the sacred
The more I loathe in mundane pleasures
The more my prayers sound faked
This is my body and soul
And they both need fuel to shine
But I'm blinded by the glare
And dazzled by the light
So it's hard to find my own line
Faith
Can detain
Faith
Can slake your thirst
But you gotta believe in what you're drinking first
What if the flesh is willing while the spirit's weak
What would I then prefer
If the triumph of mind over matters all
To speak and the ending fades to a blur
What do I really have if I lose my soul
Will my appetite be oppressed
If there no longer is a final goal
Will I respect the process
This is my body and soul
And they both need fuel to shine
But I'm blinded by the glare
And dazzled by the light
So it's hard to find my own line
Faith
Can be tamed
Faith
Can explain
Faith
Faith
Can slake your thirst
But you gotta believe in what you're drinking first
