Don’t fear the rats

You said "everything was getting colder"
The sunsets kept you warm until October
I meant it when I said that we were over, and you thought it was a joke
Did the medicine seep through everything?
As I sleep amongst the wolves; counting sheep by the tons
I can see the ones that's guiding me to peace as I wander through the woods
I check surroundings once a week
On the ground I walk, I see the ancient texts
On the cul-de-sac they read: "don't fear the rats"
