Chapter 3 - The Breakdown

They showed no mercy

They beat me senseless
Kept my hands tied
Then they grabbed my wife

They didn't give a fuck
My son was there
They did it in front of his eyes

They ripped the garments
From her flesh
Beat her within an inch of her life

One after the next
They took their turns
They fucking raped my wife

As the armor I forged
Split and cut her skin

Then the one who gave the gold went next
My son couldn't handle it

Finally he broke out of his shock
He went right for the knights neck

And with all the strength his arms could muster
He tried to choke him dead

They laughed and seized him like a rag doll
Then they cut his neck

I watch him die and bleed out
As they approached the cliff

Still laughing and smiling no doubt
They tossed him off the edge

Now on the very beach that brought us tears
My son lay dead

That's when they fucking said

"she's just about useless now
I mean look she's about as good as dead"

That Knight who fed my son
He pulled on out a familiar blade

He plunge it into the heart of my love
That's when I saw the handle

It was my fucking symbol
I forged the blade that took her life

They picked her body up so greatly vandalized
And they brought her to that very edge

They threw her off like a piece of trash
I heard her body land

She didn't even scream on the way down
It's clear she wanted death

I plead I beg I question I rant
I babble on like I was fucking mad

And that's when they took my left eye, they scooped it out with the same blade
That took the life of my wife, and just then is when he said
That Knight who said to feed my son he told me that from this day on I would see imprinted in the darkness, the horrors of what went on here

Then he leaned in and he told me
"I just wanted a crack at that peachy wife of yours" and signed it with a wink
Then they walked away. Joking into the night as if this were just another day
