There was a chalkboard that you wrote our names on
You brushed us off with your hands now our names are gone

There was a chalkboard that you wrote our names on
You brushed us off with your hands now our names are gone
But I can still see us there very faintly
What was once strong erased and made weak
And even if I tried to trace over the lines
To try and make us as strong as we were once upon a time
It wouldn’t be the same so I don’t want to draw that
I wipe the slate clean and I put the chalk back
