what a cursed blessing
to be forced into guessing
the contents of a heart
without the costume of pride

a beast or a beauty
all comes down, truly,
to not what can be seen,
but what festers inside

no shallow perception
means no misconception-
you can't be distracted
by the vanity dance

of the shield from deception
