‘Bleed Magic’ is the fourth track off of iDKHOW’s debut EP 1981 Extended Play.
The song was released on October 26th 2018, a few hours after the band uploaded a short snippet of the chorus on their Instagram story and exactly two weeks before the release of the EP.
[Intro]
Should I– should I try it again?
Yeah, that's fine
[Verse 1]
I wanna take you home
A night out on the town
Say that you're pretty so you stand up, stand up
Before I drag you down
[Pre-Chorus]
Crawling up your skin
Potions, pills and medicines
To drain you
And bleed your magic out
(Oops)
[Chorus]
Oh-oh oh, oh-oh oh
Oh-oh oh, oh-oh oh
Lonely little life
And nobody believes you now
You're bleeding magic out
[Verse 2]
Don't want to scare you off
Don't want to know your name
You'll never know a single thing about me
Until it's far too late, late
[Pre-Chorus]
Crawling up your skin
Potion, pleasing medicines
To circumvent your brain
[Chorus]
Oh-oh oh, oh-oh oh
Oh-oh oh, oh-oh oh
Lonely little life
And nobody believes you now
You're bleeding magic
[Snappy Guitar Solo]
[Chorus]
Oh-oh oh, oh-oh oh
Oh-oh oh, oh-oh oh
Lonely little life
Oh, and nobody believes you now
You're bleeding magic out somehow
And nobody believes you now
You're bleeding magic
[Instrumental Interlude]

In a Twitter Q&A, Dallon answered:
Just a story, really. I wanted to write a happy sounding dark song. In this case it’s about A killer/vampire/whatever, stalking & seducing their victim. To them, the blood is magic. Keeps them young and alive forever.
I had been watching a lot of true cri...
In an interview with Rock Sound, Dallon mentions the following about this song:
I had subconsciously re-created a Louis XIV beat for this song. After it clicked and I realized what I did, I sent it to the band and they were extremely cool about letting me use it anyway!
