Banks is what's wrong with this whole damn country
And it ain't the tellers
'I'm just doing my job sir, I am just doing my job'
Well you're sucking at it lady, I'll say that
I bounced a three dollar check,
Charged me thirty dollars for a three dollar check
Now if I ain't got three, I damn sure ain't got thirty three
It don't take an accountant to figure this out, y'know?
And they'll send you that statement in the mail,
Try to make you look bad in front of the kids
'You're raising kids and you ain't got three dollars?'
They call it 'service charge', paying the tellers five dollars an hour
I'm sure it took her six hours to work all my little three dollar check
'Yeah, I was just about to get off work, this three dollar check showed up, I'll be here 'til midnight'
I got a bank in Atlanta, Georgia,
Chargеs you three dollars to check the balance in your savings account
In othеr words, you walk in, go 'How much money have I got in this account?'
Ah, three hundred dollars, well two-ninety-seven
How much? two-ninety-four
So theoretically if I ask you another 98 times how much money I've got
I ain't got any damn money
Banks don't even give out lollypops at the drive-thru anymore
Can't get a lollypop at a bank drive-thru
Hell, I grew up on bank candy
I don't know about y'all, I put a hundred dollars in the bank,
Damnit, I want a bag of tootsie rolls
As much money as we give these people
They orta have Whitman's Samplers waiting on our hands when we get there
Not with all that cream stuff either, I want macadamia nuts in my drive-thru
