Bandaid

I newly became a different person and I’ll grow with time
I choose to be in charge of my happiness or I will die
Everything has changed since the day you chose to exit my life
And I’m so glad that you are gone and everything will be just fine
So I came back and visited the place where I was in a fog
I am here but I’m not home and that is just not what I want
I will stop waiting for something better to just come along
Sick of all the cyclical and those two weeks have come and gonе

Obviously it would be ideal if we could both sit down
Settle all our differences and try to figure something out
But I don’t think it’s the right time or if that time will ever come
And last i heard you would prefer for this to be over and done
I wish I could have you understand just what I’m feeling now
I need to let go of that but honestly I don’t know how
What I know is I need to move on to something different now
Scab has closed for a long time and the adhesives wearing down
