“Astronaut” is one of six songs picked to represent the United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018.
The song was revealed in full on January 24th 2018 on the BBC YouTube channel, two weeks before the public vote in February 2018.
[Verse 1]
That's a whole lot of tears babe
That's a whole lot of fear
Lying on my car
Staring at the stars
So go ahead, let it all out
No more hiding away now
Let your worries fly
We'll burn them all tonight
[Pre-Chorus]
When all your world falls apart
Oh I'll come pick you up
[Chorus]
Oh I could be your astronaut
Let me take you far away
I said I could be your astronaut
Take your body into space
When gravity's pulling you down and you can't breathe
I will be waiting, you know you can call me
I could be your astronaut, your astronaut
Your astronaut
[Verse 2]
Take my hand, hold it real tight
Let's take off, let's get so high
Hey where'd you wanna start?
Jupiter or Mars?
[Pre-Chorus]
When all your world falls apart
Oh I'll come pick you up, yeah
[Chorus]
Oh I could be your astronaut
Let me take you far away
I said I could be your astronaut
Take your body into space
When gravity's pulling you down and you can't breathe
I will be waiting, you know you can call me
I could be your astronaut, your astronaut
[Bridge]
So don't hesitate
I'm right behind you, babe
There's planets and galaxies far from reality
Now's the time to soar
I could be your astronaut
I said I could be your astronaut
[Chorus]
Oh I could be your astronaut
Let me take you far away
I said I could be your astronaut
Take your body into space
When gravity's pulling you down and you can't breathe
I will be waiting, you know you can call me
I could be your astronaut, your astronaut
Your astronaut, your astronaut

It’s a great song and I believe many people can relate to it. The message will resonate with a lot of people, as we all need that someone at some point in our lives to pick us up and whisk us away."
