About Thoreau

Richard Henry Myers, known professionally as Thoreau or his alter ego HARRY WAS HERE, is a producer, singer, songwriter and mixing engineer.

Starting 2016, he gathered some attention by remixing “Superstar” by Krewella, Pegboard Nerds and NGHTMRE. In the following years, Thoreau blew up with multiple of his own songs in addition to reworking famous songs such as “God’s Plan” or “Where’d U Go.”

His first and only EP “Reflections” dropped August 30th, 2018.
WIth “Better Than The Real Thing” Thoreau started going in a different direction that was more pop / indie focussed, in contrast to his former hip hop style of music. To separate these different styles he created his alter ego harry was here which is for pop music with lyrics. Thoreau will remain for his LoFi songs and remixes.
