Samia Finnerty is a singer-songwriter from New York City, who now resides in Nashville. In a July 2021 interview, she described herself as a:

Pathetic enneagram type 2, loves to dance, very excited about bodies of water, learning to coexist with bugs.

She also is the daughter of actress Kathy Najimy, and musician Dan Finnerty of the Dan Band. Over the years Samia has had occasional roles in movies and television series such as Gotham and Let Them All Talk.

Samia’s debut single, “Welcome to Eden” was released in January 2016. That same year, she featured as a vocalist on two songs by trio AJR, whom she has toured with previously.

Following several other singles, her debut EP, Ode To Artifice was released in 2019.

In 2020 she released her debut album, The Baby. This was preceded by The Baby Reimagined, where other artists reworked her own songs. In 2021, the “older sister” EP to The Baby, Scout was released.
