Seun Otukpe, or “S.O.,” is a Christian hip-hop artist based in the U.K. signed to Lamp Mode Records. He has collaborated with artists on both sides of the pond, most notably Lecrae and Andy Mineo. As of December 2018, he has released 5 albums: So It Begins (2011), So It Continues (2012), So it Ends (2015), These Things Take Time (2016), and B-Sides (2016).

“I want my music to be the music that comforts those in affliction,“ S.O. says on his website, citing 2 Corinthians 1:3-4:

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

He says he wants to create music “that brings joy to people, that encourages the heart, that encourages the soul.”
