After a year on the UK rap scene, Project has already started making waves. Fusing influences together from all corners of the musical universe, Project blends the emotional pull of classic orchestral strings with dirty, dark nu-metal esque guitar riffs and a fast, hard-hitting vocal delivery.
His soul baring lyrical style is emotive and challenging. Energy, passion and emotion are the driving forces in his live sets; he captivates audiences with his honest and personal performances.
He quickly took to the stage to perform live, starting his journey off at Cardiff’s popular Hub Festival back in August 2015. Since then he’s performed with Akala, Verb T, Regime, Timbali & Baby Queens to name a few, he’s also performed in front of crowds at Pembs Fest and Cardiff’s Free For All Festival, now preparing for a set in 2017 at Boomtown Festival.
Taking influences from artists such as Tech N9ne, Atmosphere, Macklemore and Hilltop Hoods, Project released his first EP (Rectify) in July 2015 tacking such topics in his lyrics as discrimination, ambition, loss, friendship and substance abuse. The release was well recieved by DJs and journalists such as Adam Walton (BBC Radio Wales) and David Owens (Wales Online). He has recently released his second EP (Purge) to positive reviews and is currently working on his 3rd EP which will take more of an organic musical approach.
