Laura Benanti is an American actress and singer best known for her extensive work on Broadway. She received a Tony Award for the 2008 revival of Gypsy, as well as nominations for her roles in the original productions of Swing! and Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, the 2002 revival of Into the Woods, and the 2016 revival of She Loves Me.

She has also appeared on the NBC production of The Sound of Music Live! and on multiple episodes of Nashville.

She has released a live album, In Constant Search of the Right Kind of Attention (Live at 54 Below) (2013), plus a single, “I Like Musicals” (2016).
