Gere, nome d’arte di Geremia Turchi, nasce a Firenze il 24/12/1997. Cantante, musicista e performer, inizia già dall’età di 10 anni a interessarsi alla musica e ad esibirsi dal vivo. Nel frattempo si diletta nel registrare nel 2009 il suo primo album, “For Family”, composto da cover anni ‘70, ispirato dalla musica leggera di Mina e Rino Gaetano tra i vari. Nel corso degli anni, dopo aver registrato e autoprodotto in casa poco tempo dopo il suo secondo album, “Niente Pane Per I Piccioni”, fortemente influenzato dalla musica sperimentale di Battiato e Diamanda Galás, inizia un percorso di “pausa”, dove figura nel progetto The Dreamers Reloaded curato da Massimiliano Larocca, finendo nell’album “L’Amore Devi Seguirlo” di Nada. Partecipa in seguito a vari contest canori, tra i quali Emergenza Festival nel 2017 e ad Uno Voice nel 2018 e 2019, arrivando quasi sempre in finale.

Negli ultimi anni lavora al suo terzo album omonimo, “Gere”, uscito per la prima volta in formato fisico solo nel 2021, un macro-progetto composto da un doppio album e dai 5 EP ad esso connessi, in cui lo vedono autore, compositore e produttore a 360° di tutti i brani, approdando per la prima volta ad una forma-canzone di matrice prettamente pop-rock, con evidenti rimandi a sonorità quali Tori Amos e Sarah McLachlan, dove divergendosi tra inglese ed italiano racconta di sè, delle sue emozioni e del mondo che lo circonda, attraverso il suo filtro.

Gere, stage name for Geremia Turchi, was born in Florence on December 24th 1997. Singer, songwriter and performer, begins since 10 years old to interest himself on music and performing live. In the meantime he delights in recording in 2009 his first album, “For Family”, composed of 70s cover songs, inspired by Mina and Rino Gaetano among others. In the following years, after recording and self-producing at home shortly after his second album, “Niente Pane Per I Piccioni”, hugely influenced by the experimental music of Battiato and Diamanda Galás, he begins a “pause” percourse, where he shows up on “The Dreamers Reloaded”, a project curated by Massimiliano Larocca, ending up then on Nada’s album “L'Amore Devi Seguirlo”. He then participates in various singing contests, like Emergenza Festival in 2017 and Uno Voice in 2018 and 2019, arriving almost always in the finals.

In recent times he works on his self-titled album, “Gere”, released in physical format only in 2021, a macro-project composed by a double album and by its connected 5 EPs, in which he’s author, composer and producer at 360° of all the songs, landing for the first time on the song-form of a mainly pop-rock array, with evident sound references like Tori Amos and Sarah McLachlan, in where diverging between english and italian talks about himself, his emotions and the world surrounding him, through his filter.
