Bipul Chettri is a Darjeeling based Nepali singer and songwriter. He started his musical career as a solo artist, but while touring he appeared as Bipul Chettri & The Travelling Band. As a solo artist, he’d often release folk songs accompanied by acoustic guitar.

However, it wasn’t until February 2013 Bipul released his first song, “Wildfire (Dadhelo),” on SoundCloud. “Wildfire (Dadhelo)” became his source inspiration – as it was highly appreciated by the audience – and soon to his surprise, he had completed an album, Sketches of Darjeeling.

After his first EP, Sketches of Darjeeling, turned out to be one of the best selling (Nepali) album he had started touring, and while he was touring he would continue his musical career as “Bipul Chettri & The Travelling Band.”

The traveling band consists of the lead guitarist Pranai Gurung, the drummer Aman Singh Rathore, the bassist Rahul Rai, Kiran Nepali on Sarangi & Tunga, Achint Khare on keys & melodica, sound engineer Binaya Man Amatya, and Sonam Tashi the manager. Bipul released his second studio album, Maya, with his traveling band in 2016.
