A zephyr squeaks all sweet of breath
"Look at me what I can do"
And spring defeats the winters death
And shines the morning gold anew
Inspired by the boat and sheath
And green bud as it finally grew
The courage of the herb to reach
The beams of sun so bright and true
Could it be the only one
The season answers wild and new
And the silk a silver dawn had spun
To hang a while but curled and blue
A zephyr, a zephyr
Flake and bend around the wind
That comes to rip our mind in two
Delicate as summers end
And deep and rich of any brew
Climb the silence up the spout
Hoping no ones thirsty till
Lest they wash it all about
And flush away all that they will
A zephyr glides on legs of glade
And underfoot goes wearing thin
Sorry for the mess they made
But built to do it all again
A zephyr, a zephyr
A zephyr, a zephyr
