The Boat

The tide goes out in a silken dress
And the moonlight sings as the waves confess
Where am I to find
Something sure and true
With ideas wild
And my face prolonged as if I jumped into
The body of a soldier

We ride the times with our coarse adieus
And they're flushed with crime but with beauty too
Have you heard of love
Spreading like wildfire
Dangling up above
In the sky just like a giant slab of meat
We’re living in an old arcade
With little change

If I was a stream of light
Beaming with energy
I’d stay up every night
