“Cry No More” is the first song released by London-based group Vaults, who shared the track to their SoundCloud in November 2013.
Despite being hyped by the BBC and blog-scene upon being shared, the track received no official release until 31st July 2015 on the eponymous Cry No More EP
[Verse 1]
In heavy air I feel it creep
And our eyes can't meet
A poison word that you chose
And the distance grows
[Pre Chorus]
And I don't wanna cry no more
And I don't wanna die a little more every day
And I don't wanna cry no more
And I don't wanna die a little more every day
[Chorus]
To pull yourself from harm
To be the braver one
To raise a weary hand
In a house that's built on sand
To wear it like a crown
To kick before you drown
To fight it and to cry no more
[Verse 2]
Will I be the warrior?
Or will the axe shine clean?
Steely eyed, your blood'll burn
I will save our lives
[Pre Chorus]
And I don't wanna cry no more
And I don't wanna die a little more every day
And I don't wanna cry no more
And I don't wanna die a little more every day
[Chorus]
To pull yourself from harm
To be the braver one
To raise a weary hand
In a house that's built on sand
To wear it like a crown
To kick before you drown
To fight it and to cry no more
[Outro]
Cry no more
I don't wanna die a little more every day
I don't wanna cry no more
I don't wanna die a little more every day
