...Homeboy, homeboy, homeboy
Get on the mic, get on the mic God dammit
Get on the mic with your rhymes galore
Well it's me, the prince of power, the deacon of dance
Sole heir to the throne of the king of romance
The duke of devastation, the rapper royal
Maestro on the mic, innovator of style
Shepherd of the flock, the punk in your rock
A one man corporation, so you better buy stock
Not white or Hispanic, just the rhyme mechanic
Guaranteed to make you boogie, there's no need to panic
Dig the clothes I'm in, when you see me you'll grin
The Cap is constantly surrounded by the fly women
And if it's not known yet, then let it be discovered
That when it comes to rhymes, I got all the bases covered
Any subject, object, place, or time
I take into consideration when I write a rhyme
That's why I can say very easily
That the Grandmaster Caz is the B-E-S-T
And that's the best ya'll, I never fess ya'll
And nonetheless, always dressed to impress ya'll
So ya'll, I got a rhyme I wanna dedicate to everybody in the place before we sign off
It's a favorite of mine, I hope it's a favorite of yours
It's-it's-it's called Yvette
Alright
It's about this girl that I got caught in the bed with
I'mma lay it on you right now
It was a long time ago but I'll never forget
I got caught in the bed with a girl named Yvette
I sure got scared like hell but I got away
That's why I'm here tellin' y'all today
I was outside of a school rappin' to a fox
A crowd of people all around listenin' to my box
Just me and my fans and some guys from my crew
Chillin' hard 'cause we had nothin' better to do
It was me, J.D.L., A.D. and The All
Then I slipped away to make a phone call
To this very day it was a move I regret
But I didn't know then so I called Yvette
I said, "Hello pretty mama, it's your lover man"
She said, "Baby, come over as quick as you can"
I said, "I can't come now, fellas comin' to get me"
Then she said, "I'm all alone, there's nobody with me"
I thought for a second, "Oh shit, she's alone!"
Then I was knockin' at her door 'fore she hung up the phone
She let me in the house and gave me a kiss
And said, "Give me that thing that you know I missed"
So we went into her room and we got high
But she couldn't keep her hand from off my fly
So I made her lock the door and went to check it
When I came back in she was totally naked
That was my cue to do the do
I took my clothes off and started on the pooh
Well I was tearin' shit up, then 'bout a quarter to three
She said, "Caz! Somebody's comin'!"
I said, "Yeah, me!"
Then the door bust open, and there was her folks
I thought, "Damn, they coulda waited 'til I finished my strokes"
Her mother was in shock, her father reached on the shelf
Pulled down the .45, I almost shit on myself!
Said, "Please don't shoot!" and pleaded my case
Said, "You'd have done the same thing if you was in my place
But if you spare my life, believe me friend!
You'll never see me 'round your daughter again"
Don't ask me why but he let me leave
I ran 37 blocks, then I stopped to breathe
Gave thanks to God he wasn't too upset
And went home and thought about poor Yvette
He must of beat her ass with everything I assume
'Cause I could hear the girl screamin' all the way in my room
Even though I don't see Yvette no more
I know she ain't as fine as she was before
It's like that (That y'all)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Y'all gotta excuse us... See, we wanna— we can't, we can't bounce as much as we want to 'cause if we bounce too much the record will jump you know, so we gotta be a little stiff, don't mind that. We would like if everybody could move, like, y'know, up close up here, but... so we can like step up there, you know what I'm saying? [?] But thank y'all anyway, we appreciate it. That's enough [?], right? Alright. No light? No light?
Alright, tell you what. (Yeah.) Huh? Don't worry about it, it's okay, everything's fine. (Everything's fine baby.) (One two, one two.) How's everybody feeling in the Danceteria tonight?
Yeah, come on, make some noise every-goddamn-body...
