Her travels, from summer 2017 to early 2018, shaped the songwriting. Olivia wrote most of the exquisitely harmonic “Your Nail and Your Hammer”-its title inspired by words written on her wall-in Nashville, influenced by the city’s love of Americana.

Cold little heart breaks apart
With your nail and your hammer
Bang bang to the beat of my heart
Break it with your hammer
Break it with your hammer
I met you in line for the social security number
We had time to kill and you had killed and done time til that day
You wrote to me on the internet
You’d just passed your driving test
I felt safe but yet I couldn’t shake that feeling
You’d bust through the ceiling
And you’re sailing away
I got your record coming in the mail now anyday
Cold little heart breaks apart
With your nail and your hammer
Bang bang to the beat of my heart
Break it with your hammer
Break it with your hammer
Send me rhymes
Send me reasons for your crimes
I will build a lullaby and sing us all to sleep when the end is nigh
Hear the melody bring the memory of your favourite band at the grandstand when you were holding your lovers hand remember that feeling
You’d bust through the ceiling
And you’re sailing away
You got my record coming in the mail now anyday
Cold little heart breaks apart
With your nail and your hammer
Bang bang to the beat of my heart
Break it with your hammer
Break it with your hammer
