Who told you life is what it is, and you got in line
Who told you faith in Him is weak, I can testify
He’s not the picture that they painted, don’t forget their lies
Who told you they are to be trusted, don’t deceit your eyes

I swear I feel you, I’ve been there, I am lost at times
I swear I understand how you don’t wanna pass a high
I get how kindness seems to bleak, cuz we reward the liars
I promise they would let us burn, but how do you burn a fire?
