[Verse 1]
Have you ever had the blues in the morning?
When you waken with a dawn's early light
Have you ever had the blues in the evening?
When the sun has gone to bed for the night
Now if the blues come around to your doorstep
Act as though they want to stay
Just grab an old guitar and sit down by the fire
And yodel your blues away
[Hook]
Yodel your blues away
Yodel your blues away
[Verse 2]
Have you ever had an ache in your heart strings?
Have you ever had the blues in your mind?
Have you ever had a gal who was faithless?
Who turned you down for one of her own kind
Now if you've had these troubles I'll tell you
The thing for you to do right away
Just grab an old guitar and sit down by the fire
And yodel your blues away
[Hook]
Yodel your blues away
Yodel your blues away
Yodel Your Blues Away was written by Jack Howard & Bill Haley.
This is the only US release I could find, it is from a 1978 release. There is an Australian release as well that states “Recorded in 1948 & 1949 in Chester and Philadelphia in the state of Pennsylvania, U.S.A.” This is the exact same time period Bill Haley was with The Saddlemen.
