Yearning

My life caved in
I think at a frightfully young age
We didn’t have our own place and my parents were okay-ish
Though, in the main
My father ain’t there
That being the case, I became unrestrained
I’d go as far as to say, that everybody hated me
I have a bro I’m always collated with
Although, he’s my only mate
‘Cause in school I was fearful and self effacing
I was silent so simultaneously praised and deprecated
It’s to a great extent, when questioned, I just wouldn’t say anythin’
Cuttin’ classes and comin’ back home to hear mom break the news that someone break into the house for the eighth time again
Get the hang of gamblin’
She’s sayin’ ain’t to do such a thing
But I stay prevailing
That she gives in and gives a grin on her face
I’m achin’ to make it to make it up and make her appreciate me, maybe
I may be cut out for this kind of thing
Ain’t have the faintest inkling
But I’m aimin’ to make it up to the top and I’m gonna be makin’ an effort with enough fervor for the fame
