World is Big

God isn't out there on the porch
Drinking the milk from Kitty's bowl
I wait for no one anymore
And get just what I bargained for

I drink my coffee morning light
And take my pills most every night
The gloomy days don't drain my blood
Just fill my garden up with mud

This world is big and ending soon
I wanna spend my time with you
I watch you stop and turn around
I smile I choke, don't make a sound

And in the evening hours few
I wanna end the day with you
We'll keep some flowers in the sill
I'll keep an eye that they don't wilt
