What if Shakespeare was born in modern day India?

What if Shakespeare
was born in modern day India?
Would he have written - Romeo and Juliet
Or perhaps, Kejriwal and Bedi instead?
Would he have written
about the mighty King Lear?
Or would would he rather write about,
The corpses of daughters which tremble with fear?
Perhaps the comedy of terror,
won't be so 'comic' anymore.
Would write about Antony and Cleopatra,
or ridicule the failure of weak "Akshay Patra".
It would be a midsummer's night-mare,
where a labour's love is lost.
Where the merchant of Venice
is selling life at cost.
The two gentlemen of Verona
unleash a tempest on us.
Unfazed; they do it without the
'As You Like It!' fuss.
They proclaim -
"Much ado about nothing!!
Measure by measure,
We've tamed all you shrews!"
The merry wives of Windsor however,
still lullaby a winter's tale,
of a young brave Macbeth,
who'd make everything alright
and to the world he shall sayeth -
"All's well that ends well,
you're free to do what you will"
