“We Could Be More” is a promo single by producer/songwriter Star Slinger, from his EP of the same name. The original demo of the song featuring vocals by Tinashe leaked in 2018, featuring very slight lyric changes on the hook and pre-hook.
He said of the song:
I went to LA & met up with Tinash...
[Verse 1]
So stubborn , but it's sexy babe
You don't let nobody tell you anything
See baby, I'm out of my mind
To believe that you can get it right this time
[Pre Chorus]
Cause I need someone who can hold me down
Ain't the time to play don't wanna mess around (That's Real)
You said you want it bad, so make it known (Yeah)
Every night I'll back it up and drop it low
[Chorus]
We can be more it's your decision
You can have anything you like
And it could be all that you ever wanted
Yeah it's what ever you decide
You want the stars I can be the light
You can bring hell if that's your type
Give you thing you can't even imagine
Now that you have it
Go on and grab it
[Verse 2]
So cocky, like you own this babe
But you know you gotta work to get to me
So bossy, make me say your name
You always gotta have it your way
[Pre Chorus]
Cause I need someone who can hold me down
Ain't the time to play don't wanna mess around (That's Real)
You said you want it bad, so make it known (Yeah)
Every night I'll back it up and drop it low
[Chorus]
We can be more it's your decision
You can have anything you like
And I could be all that you ever wanted
Yeah it's what ever you decide
You want the stars I can be the light
You can bring hell if that's your type
Give you thing you can't even imagine
Now that you have it
Go on and grab it

I wrote the title track with Tinashe. Tinashe actually had someone helping her with melodies, I think she’s always in there with her, I forget her name. –Lazonate Franklin
Basically I made a beat that was totally different, and got a publishing deal with Sony/EMI...
