Way She Goes

My skin warm
As the breeze it blew on by
Mountains all were green
Not a cloud in the sky

You could smell the weed
As it floated in the air
Sun shining down
It was hard to have a care

Me and my friends
Having ourselves a day
How it is in WV
On a summer riverbank

We had no clue
Just how fast the time would go
One minute you’re in the sun
Next moment’s full of snow

And on it goes
Til one day you look around
All your friends have gone
You’re the last one left in town
