[Verse 1]
Drag my name through the mud
Wash my shoes in your blood
I like to brush my teeth and look good
But when I'm with you, I give up
You don't have to say you're in love
Oh, just keep it smart and casual
I like to quote old films when we touch
So pure, I should be scared but I'm not
[Chorus]
Hey, now, watch your step
Falling for you is like a losing bet, I say
Hey, now, ooh
Oh, hey, now, watch your step
It's so dangerous when you're in my head
I say hey, now
[Verse 2]
I want you when the sky turns red
Killing all the spooks in my bed
But accepting you's the hardest part
I like it how you never ask
(I wouldn't want you to)
[Chorus]
I say hey, now, watch your step
Falling for you is like a losing bet, I say
Hey, now
I say hey, now, watch your step
I want more, can you deal with it?
I say hey, now
[Post-Chorus]
You want, you give, you take, you can
You could, you should, you might as well
You want, you give, you take, you can
You could, you should, you might as well
[Bridge]
If I falter, will you come save me?
'Cause treading water is overrated
And if I falter, will you come save me?
'Cause treading water is overrated
[Chorus]
Oh hey, now, watch your step
Falling for you is like a losing bet
Hey, now, oh
Oh, hey, now, watch your step
I want more, can you deal with it?
Say hey, now
(One, two, three)
[Post-Chorus]
You want, you give, you take, you can
You could, you should, you might as well
(Watch your step, watch your step)
You want, you give, you take, you can
You could, you should, you might as well
(Watch your step, watch your step)
You want, you give, you take, you can
You could, you should, you might as well
[Outro]
Oh hey, now, watch your step
Falling for you is like a losing bet, I say
Hey, now
Watch your step, watch your step, oh
If I falter, will you come save me?

Henry Camamile:
“Watch Your Step” was very popular with the other guys in the band and with a lot of people. “Again Again”, I think, did a better job of what I’m trying to put across here. It works better with what I wanted to do lyrically for the main album. But there’s just something great in it...
