My guitar sits all alone
In a corner, in a room
Somewhere inside my home

It’s been a while since I could say
I was in a jolly good mood
To pick it up and play

I don’t know why
My life’s been fine

Myself to blame this time

I met a girl, made her my world
We had some fun, shared deep love

But, all my friends say

So I’ll drink some more
And walk out my door
Face the world
With only whiskey at my core

From a crowd
