Vodka Children

I'm afraid I would suffocate my child
Become the very poison my mother became
Have the same dull eyes she had when she birthed me and when she gave me away
I used to think the glass was a way of digesting the well-worth of wind trapped in her throat
I've come to know though that it was simply liquor
Nothing quite poetic
Just terrifying the way vodka and water can make a flood out of anyone
The way both can be used to drown children
