Sometimes I feel like a bot in a digital world
It feels sweet, but taste so sour
Coasting on cotton candy clouds
Maybe we're all computer chips
Just a part of a code
Just words mixed with other words
Do we play roles?
Or do the roles play us?
A character unknown
Lines are blurry, blank stares
The only time you see my face
Is through a snapshot
Of a moment
On a computer screen
Hearing my voice through headphones
You can't feel that
You can't touch that
Need someone to connect with
While we're still disconnected
Wanna be missed, but can't stay away
Wanna be loved, but can't stay the same
Tеmpted by the idea of obscurity
Yеt following the flashing lights
Falling in love with the subtle pain
Strength measured by ego
Our existence is validated by likes and clicks
Identity crisis
I publish, I delete

Trying too hard
Or not trying enough
It's a cycle that circulates
Circulates and cycles through
Until there's nothing left
And we're drowning in a vacuum
A vacuum of emptiness
Taking us nowhere
From there, where do we go?
I draw a circle in the sand
I step into the circle
This is my sand, my circle
You can't have it
My personal space, a safe haven
Messing with such
Will only lead us to square one
The square checks off all the boxes
Think outside it, or think inside it
It doesn't matter, think about it
A vehicle stranded, rusty exterior
Pop the trunk, now, what do you see?
Everything that should and should not be known
Everything you wanna share, but wanna keep to yourself

Walking a path of thorns
Leading to a carpet of crystals
We want the hotness
