Stop lyin'
Stop lyin'
Stop lyin'
Stop lyin'
Stop all of the lies you go and tell yourself
And other people;
Here's facts:
In sickness and health
I was always there to help
Fall for the love that you killed
And you know I was willin'
You turned around and made me the villain
You told your friends and family I didn't wanna be with you
When I had you all in your feelin's
Did you tell them every way I felt you neglected?
You say you love me but you disrespect me
And after all of that you tell me you want me to treat you like I treated you when we first connected
You're puttin' lies together, no recall(?)
No reconciliation, no resolve
Apologies not followed by actions is just a slap in the face
But you ain't hearin' me at all
And I'm sorry, girl, I'm sorry you had daddy issues
Cuz you deserved his love
I'm sorry men mistreated you and I damn near lost your trust
You had me second guessing myself like I didn't treat you right
And workin' through this heartache is the bitter things in life
Because I love you
Even though we have departed, there's still a place in my heart for you, I mean that from the bottom
I love you
I still do
I mean the hard part is, I- I thought she was gonna be my wife, so, I don't know
Even though we have departed, there's still a place in my heart for you, I mean that from the bottom
I don't know what to do with all these feelin's but, I gotta get away cuz I'm becoming bitter
Men need to grow up, firstly. And men need to stop being cowards, secondly. You see a woman walking down the street, minding her business. You say everything you know she would like to hear, you get her defenses down, and once her defenses are lowered, you then go in there, take what you want, and then you leave. After doing so, you go repeat the cycle elsewhere, and you do it again, and you do it again, and you do it again. You've scarred a whole bunch of women, but- but men who follow you now have to do the work to help heal these women, and half the time, these women end up destroying these men because they don't know how to believe that they're worthy of love because of what you've done to them
