Vargtimmen is Swedish for the hour of the wolf, but it also means figuratively the hour when us humans are at our weakest.
There is also a movie by Ingmar Bergman with the same name. They do not seem to be related, however. The song lacks the motif of madness that saturates the movie.
Now your life walks behind you
As you pass through the city
Night time falls upon the walls
You've been wasting your time
Now your life walks behind
Children, that's what she asks for
The reason I've been castrated for so long
I'm counting the hours
But the moon is still full
I'm counting the hours
And my girl, well...
She snores like a log
I'm counting the hours
I'm counting the hours gone
Gone like the baby she hoped for
Why are you asking for more ?
Flesh of my flesh, my parents always said
Flesh of my flesh, we know you are the one
Flesh of my flesh, but now the years are gone
Flesh of my flesh, they say my time is done
Baby I feel bad
Baby, I will be your baby eternally
I'm counting the hours, but the moon is still full
Why do you want me dead ?
