[Intro]
Face down in your car
'Cause I'm not who we're talkin', baby
Someone else has been in your mental lately
Please don't take it hard
If I'm not in your mentions, baby
Seein' you with him always drives me crazy
I could've been somebody
[Verse 1]
That kept you stable without us bein' closer
You can't make someone fall in deep, I'm drownin' in your oceans
If we can't call it love, a rose by any other name
If this were any other—
(Fuck)
[Chorus]
Stiff in my arms, I know he's there
Stuck in your mind, I can't compare
I think you're better off with shoutin'
I'll nevеr be the one that fills your mind with doubt, hе's
Wastin' your time, it's so unfair
Wrapped in your warmth, he strokes your hair
But he don't care
But he don't care
[Verse 2]
Fill me up with sunshine just to make it rain
What a shame
What a shame
Back when we were just fine
You ain't know his name, can't complain
You're not mine to claim anymore
[Bridge]
If I knew how it'd end then, if I would still risk it
When I could look in to your eyes and wouldn't miss it
But I (Woo)
Got caught by surprise (Oh-oh)
It shouldn't work at all, I thought we'd be too different
You used to be so far away, but now the distance is tight
So tight
[Outro]
You couldn't fall in love without me
I taught you everything you know, now I'm on my own
It's funny how it goes
Ain't that how it goes?
You couldn't fall in love without me
I taught you everything you know, now I'm on my own
It's funny how it goes
Ain't that how it goes?
How it goes

“VANTA" is interesting cause I wrote and record it in one night. Not only that, but I wrote it from the perspective of my most recent ex at the time. I named it “VANTA” (the deepest hue of black) from the really angry, punk, almost grungy, energy the song gives. A feeling you could argue perfectly m...
The harmonies on that song are so crazy, and it is one of my favourite chord progressions. So when I realised the instrumental for “Vanta” had a similar progression I really wanted to lay down those kinds of minor harmonies.
