Frenzal Rhomb
Although not recorded until the 1996 album Not So Tough Now, “Urban Myth” was actually the very first song written by Frenzal Rhomb in 1992. The band wrote a set of original songs ahead of a Battle of the Bands contest that served as the band’s first gig.

[Verse 1]
If I gave you another wish
You'd be hanging out for married bliss
Waiting for your life to control you
Married bliss is an urban myth
With concrete smiles and bloody wrists
I never thought it would come to this, did you?
Oh ho
[Chorus]
Haven't you seen the end of it all
One more fantasy before you fall
Woah-oh ho, woah-oh ho, woah-oh ho
Woah-oh ho, woah-oh ho, woah-oh ho
[Verse 2]
Sometimes it's best to pass
When trying to converse on melted cars
Sinking to your boring point of view
You talk a lot about environment
Only worth is how many spent
I never thought it would come to this, did you?
Oh ho
[Chorus]
Haven't you seen the end of it all
One more fantasy before you fall
Woah-oh ho, woah-oh ho, woah-oh ho
Woah-oh ho, woah-oh ho, woah-oh ho
[Bridge]
It's not cynicism
But the same old contradictions
A repeat of the same jaded mistakes
[Verse 1]
If I gave you another wish
You'd be hanging out for married bliss
Waiting for your life to control you
One two three four!
Married bliss is an urban myth
With concrete smiles and bloody wrists
I never thought it would come to this, did you?
Oh ho
[Chorus]
Haven't you seen the end of it all
One more fantasy before you fall
Woah-oh ho, woah-oh ho, woah-oh ho
Woah-oh ho, woah-oh ho, woah-oh ho
Woah-oh ho, woah-oh ho, woah-oh ho
Woah-oh ho, woah-oh ho, woah-oh ho
