I was on a road to the south of nowhere
She turned to me and looked into my eyes
I was on the path that lead to somewhere
The path between me my eyes and her mind

On the path that was on her mind

I said "Wait, wait a minute, don't leave like that
You can’t just do whatever pops in your head, one at a time"
Some people have their own ideas about what they need to do
And she was one of those people, I'm trying to tell you

Couldn't help but think that her sister was not of the same mind
She had a different point of view and looked at life in a different way
And she was gone living somewhere else, somewhere far away
So what I’m left with is what I've got to deal with

But that's okay, I'm alright with that, I've heard that counts before the dent
Write to me and I did the best that I could
I can't help but wonder and dream by myself, sit alone with all those books on my shelf
And think about the people that lived before me and all that they could do that I can't

As we drove along I couldn't help but try to stifle my tongue
And try to not say the words "What will, what will become of me?"
The door opened on my side of the car and I was pushed to the ground
The smile on her face, she said "Let it be"

The ice was cold on my face and there was no shoes on my feet and
Exhaust in my mouth for days
Me and God alone staring at each other hopes again
"Oh Lord, what will become of me?"
