I woke midday in a sweat, the oven of my bed
As the sun beats its arms against my walls
My throat cracks to release a feeble sigh
Straining against desire, my fortune exhausts
I burn at the promise of solace
Relief passes me by
Swallowed by treacherous obsession
To know no other lives
I’ve hardly figured it out
I’m just a fixture of my own wrongdoing
What malice must i sustain?
Now and forever
Undesirable
